What is RFID?

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a radio-frequency–based tracking and control technology designed to create and collect data without human intervention. It enables the secure monitoring of movements through a special identification structure

carried by a microprocessor-equipped tag.

Unlike barcode systems, RFID uses wireless electronic chips to produce smart/electronic data tags that do not require direct line-of-sight or physical contact. It is a data collection and tracking/control system that operates through wireless communication.

How Does RTLS Work?

The required RTLS software is installed on a server.
Layout plans and drawings of the location where RTLS will be deployed are uploaded into the system (supported formats: JPEG, PDF, ACAD).
Routes and areas to be tracked and monitored are defined on these drawings within the RTLS application.
Once activated, RTLS starts monitoring all Wi-Fi end devices operating in the WLAN environment.
